CP-200  CERTIFIED QUALITY ENGINEER PREPARATION / REFRESHER

Abstract:
This course covers the ASQ Body of Knowledge required for the Certified Quality Engineer examination and prepares individuals who intend to take the examination given by ASQ.

The purpose of this Quality Engineer Course is to prepare those individuals who have the experience and education requisite to qualify for the Quality Engineer Examination and who desire assistance in preparing for it.

Taking this course does not require you to sit for the next exam or any exams.  This course can be used to learn the fundamental elements that a Quality Engineer should know and be prepared to implement.

The CQE Primer from the Quality Council of Indiana will be given to each participant.

Classroom Approach to the Class and Exam

This is an adult centered course for busy professionals.  The class is intended to provide review and discussion on:

Statistics,   Probability,   Control Charts,   Sampling,   Quality Costs,   Data Processing,   Audits,   Surveys,   QA/QC Management,   Procurement QC,   Corrective/Preventive   Action,   Reliability & Maintainability,   NDT,   Testing,   Calibration,   Metrology,   Experimental Design,   SPC,   ISO 9000,   Malcolm Baldrige Award.

Who should attend:

The course is a preparation and refresher for someone who wants to sit for the CQE examination and for all others that want to have the knowledge of Quality Engineering.

Prerequisites:

See the requirements stated for the ASQ CQE Examination at www.asq.org. as these provide the background subject knowledge that will useful in taking this course.

Certification Note:

Registration and fees for this class does not include registration for any certification examination. Registration deadlines are usually prior to the commencement of the class. The next certification exam is scheduled for June 5, 2010.  The due date for application to take the June exam is April 16, 2010. 

Textbooks and handouts are included in the course fee.  Some courses use instructor supplied material. The fees include all materials required for the course
